Private Client Diagnostic · Standalone or Embedded Support Service

Eligibility & Risk Triage

A senior-led assessment of the family, wealth profile, source-of-wealth readiness, cross-border objectives and material risk factors, available as a standalone engagement or as an independent support workstream within a wider client-led or adviser-led mandate.

Engagement format Standalone diagnostic or embedded support workstream
Delivery basis Written decision pack following a complete and reviewable intake
Client coverage Private clients, family offices, advisers and SGT programmes
Decision output Proceed, proceed with conditions, defer or decline

The mandate

Establish what is viable before the family commits capital, applications or reputation.

Eligibility & Risk Triage is SGT’ direct diagnostic service. It tests whether the requested outcome is credible, whether the client can support the required evidence and obligations, and which practical pathway, service model or specialist workstream is suitable, if any.

The review is deliberately completed before entity formation, residence applications, private-bank onboarding, digital-asset migration or other substantive external commitments. It may be commissioned independently or embedded within an existing client, family-office or professional-adviser mandate. The purpose is to identify the viable route, the conditions for proceeding and the issues capable of stopping the workstream.

Direct service scope

Four decisions delivered directly for the client and its appointed team.

This is not a coordination-only or structuring-only exercise. SGT conducts the review, applies its private-client assessment framework and takes responsibility for the clarity, consistency and usefulness of the resulting report, whether it is used independently or alongside other authorised advisers.

01

Eligibility determination

Assess the family’s factual fit for the intended Singapore, mobility, family-office or digital-wealth pathway and distinguish genuine feasibility from assumptions requiring official or professional confirmation.

02

Risk classification

Classify source-of-wealth, tax, immigration, banking, sanctions, reputational, regulatory, timing, family-governance and execution risks by severity and required response.

03

Pathway suitability

Determine whether a standalone client action, an SGT service, an adviser-led workstream, specialist escalation or no current pathway is appropriate, based on the client’s real objectives and ability to maintain continuing obligations.

04

Readiness decision

Issue a clear proceed, conditional proceed, defer or decline conclusion with evidence gaps, prerequisites, escalation items and the recommended next engagement.

Assessment dimensions

A whole-family assessment, not a single visa or entity checklist.

Each dimension is reviewed against the stated objective, the family’s evidence, practical implementation capacity and the requirements that must later be confirmed by the relevant authority, institution or licensed adviser.

Family and purpose

Objectives, stakeholders and decision authority

Clarify the principal’s objectives, family composition, authorised decision-makers, dependent needs, succession priorities, operating businesses and the commercial or personal rationale for Singapore.

Wealth and provenance

Source-of-wealth and admissibility readiness

Review how wealth was created, current ownership, liquidity, transaction history, evidence availability, beneficial ownership, tax reporting and matters likely to affect banks or professional providers.

Singapore pathway

Residence, family office and operating substance

Assess the relevance of ordinary immigration routes, GIP, family-office establishment, Sections 13O or 13U feasibility, staffing, expenditure, management substance and the family’s ability to maintain the intended model.

Banking and tax

Private-bank readiness and tax-residence conflicts

Identify KYC, source-of-funds, asset-composition, residency, physical-presence, treaty, reporting and cross-border issues requiring specialist tax or banking review before onboarding or relocation.

Mobility and family transition

Jurisdiction fit and implementation burden

Test whether Singapore, UAE, Thailand, Malaysia, Portugal or another proposed jurisdiction serves a defensible purpose and whether the family can support the applications, presence, renewals and transition requirements.

Digital wealth and reputation

Custody, provenance and regulatory exposure

Review material digital-asset exposure, wallet and exchange records, custody dependencies, source-of-wealth evidence, regulated activity, adverse matters and the need for a digital-wealth governance service or specialist escalation.

Delivered outputs

A decision pack designed for principals, family offices and senior advisers.

The engagement produces an institutional record of the preliminary decision. It is written to support an informed go, conditional go, defer or no-go decision, not to decorate a sales discussion with reassuring adjectives.

  • Pathway and service-model recommendation
  • Material assumptions and limitations
  • Official and professional confirmation points
  • Immediate decision required from the principal
Deliverable Two

Risk & Readiness Matrix

Prioritised control view

  • Recommended specialist workstreams
  • Workstream and jurisdiction sequencing
  • Indicative implementation dependencies
  • Senior findings briefing with SGT

Assessment pathway

Six controlled stages from intake to a defensible decision.

The agreed delivery timetable begins only after SGT confirms that the intake, declarations and requested preliminary evidence are sufficiently complete for review. Scope and timing may vary where the Triage supports a wider client or adviser-led mandate.

Confidential intake

Collect the principal facts, family profile, objectives, jurisdictions, wealth ranges, timing, existing structures and known adverse or complex matters.

Senior diagnostic interview

Test objectives, decision authority, source of wealth, practical constraints, family dependencies and the assumptions behind the requested programme.

Evidence review

Review preliminary records and summaries sufficient to test provenance, ownership, tax status, operating substance, digital exposure and documentation readiness.

Risk classification

Identify hard stops, enhanced-review matters, professional-opinion requirements, execution risks, evidence gaps and issues capable of affecting institutional acceptance.

Pathway determination

Select the appropriate standalone action, SGT service, client-led workstream, adviser-led implementation, specialist escalation or no current pathway based on fit rather than commercial ambition.

Report and findings briefing

Deliver the written decision pack and conduct a senior briefing on the conclusion, conditions, exclusions, priority actions and next engagement decision.

Triage decision framework

One clear conclusion, with the reasons documented.

The outcome is an SGT commercial and risk conclusion on client readiness, pathway suitability and required next steps. It is not a decision by ICA, EDB, MAS, IRAS, any bank or any foreign authority.

Engagement flexibility

Standalone or embedded client-support workstream

One diagnostic service, designed to support the client’s actual decision environment.

The Triage may be commissioned directly by a principal or family office as an independent decision engagement. It may also operate as a defined support workstream within an existing legal, tax, immigration, banking-readiness, fiduciary, family-office or cross-border relocation mandate, subject to clear authority and information-sharing arrangements.

The written outputs can be used by the client and its authorised advisers to identify critical facts, prioritise specialist work, challenge assumptions, prepare institutional counterparties and sequence implementation. SGT retains responsibility for its own diagnostic conclusions; each appointed professional remains responsible for its regulated or specialist advice.

Who the service is for

For clients and professional teams who need a defensible decision before implementation.

Designed for high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth principals, family offices, founders, internationally mobile families and digital-wealth holders considering a material Singapore, family-office, mobility, banking-readiness or asset-governance decision. The service may also be commissioned by authorised legal, tax, fiduciary, corporate or private-client advisers as an independent support workstream for their clients.

The service is not intended for applicants seeking guaranteed residence, citizenship, tax outcomes, anonymous banking, concealment of beneficial ownership, undocumented wealth, avoidance of lawful reporting, unlicensed digital-asset activity or a favourable conclusion unsupported by the facts.

Service perimeter

SGT delivers the Triage directly, whether the service stands alone or supports a wider client mandate.

The engagement is deliberately direct and accountable: SGT conducts the assessment and issues its own commercial, readiness and risk conclusion. The report may support the client and its authorised advisers, but it does not displace their professional responsibilities. Where a conclusion depends on law, tax, licensing, immigration, investment regulation or institutional acceptance, the report identifies the required confirmation rather than inventing one.

Delivered directly by SGT

Diagnostic interview, fact analysis, preliminary evidence review, risk classification, pathway matching, readiness determination, written report, action plan and senior findings briefing.

Authorities and institutions

ICA, EDB, MAS, IRAS, banks and foreign authorities retain sole control of their applications, incentives, tax administration, onboarding and official decisions.

Licensed and qualified advisers

Legal opinions, tax opinions, immigration filings, regulated investment advice, fund management, custody, corporate filings and other restricted work are undertaken by the appropriate appointed professionals.

No guarantee or automatic downstream engagement

The service does not guarantee acceptance by any programme, authority, institution or provider. Completion of the Triage does not oblige SGT, the client or any appointed adviser to enter a later implementation engagement.

Confidential Triage engagement

Determine eligibility, risk and execution readiness before committing to implementation.

The engagement begins with a senior review of the client’s stated objectives, wealth profile, source-of-wealth readiness, current structures, jurisdictions, existing advisers and known complexity. It may proceed as a standalone diagnostic or as a defined support workstream within a broader mandate.

Request Eligibility & Risk Triage

Important notice: Eligibility & Risk Triage is a direct SGT professional diagnostic service available as a standalone engagement or a support workstream for clients, family offices and authorised advisers. The conclusions are preliminary commercial, risk, readiness and pathway-suitability conclusions based on information provided and records made available at the time of review. They are not legal advice, tax advice, regulated financial advice, an immigration filing, a banking decision, a regulatory approval or a guarantee of any government, tax-incentive, residence, citizenship, account-opening, licensing, custody or investment outcome. Official criteria and administrative practices may change and must be reconfirmed before implementation. Formal professional and regulated work is undertaken by appropriately qualified, licensed or authorised providers where required.
